It was a Saturday afternoon. It was hot. We were all lazy. The last thing on our minds was to do anything strenuous, and after all that gallivanting around Winnipeg, we decided to just chill at the Assiniboine Park, about 30 minutes drive from my sister's place.
We later stumbled into the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden. After some crazy poses with the bronze sculptures, we DID take notice of the beautiful landscaping and the breathtaking array of flowers and herbs. Like these purple ruffles basil. I've seen these in the Philippines, but they aren't as purple or as luxuriant. While it does look pretty, can you blame me if what I'm actually imaging is some purple pesto sauce?
