Banana bread is common, but a banana cake? This year, with D's first birthday celebration in Winnipeg, we decided to go with De Luca's scrumptious banana cake (only C$10).
The banana cake is moist and not-too-sweet; two layers with an occasional walnut and filled with a creamy icing. More of that creamy (and not-too-sweet) icing on top and generously sprinkled with walnuts, drizzled with chocolate syrup, and garnished with banana chips.
Just add the candles and you're ready to sing!
